Work Study Student Jobs
To be eligible to work as a Work Study Student at Kilgore College, the student must be enrolled in at least 6 semester hours each semester.
Responsibilities:
The Work Study program one source of financial aid for college students. These on and off campus jobs are available only to Kilgore College students, who demonstrate financial need while they are enrolled in the current term. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 hours for each term, which are part of your degree plan. In order to assess financial need each academic year, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov.
Please submit an application for a work study position you would like to be considered for. Students interested in multiple positions may submit one application for all positions in which they are interested in. Incomplete applications will be discarded. Applications will not be kept on file once a position is filled. Please submit a copy of the class schedule(s) for the appropriate term with each application.

- The rate of pay is dependent upon Financial Aide budgets and approval for up to 19 hours per week.
Work Study students are paid twice a month. Payroll periods are the 1st through the 15th of each month, then the 16th through the last day of the month. Checks for one payroll period will be available after the next payroll. For instance, if a student works between Jan. 1-15, they will be paid for that time on Jan. 31 or the closest previous business day, should the 31st fall on a weekend or holiday. Students must pick up paper checks in the Cashier’s Office in the Devall Student Center and present picture ID to sign for their checks. Direct Deposit is now the sole payment method for all employees at Kilgore College. Direct Deposit authorization forms are available at the Financial Aid Office or at the Human Resources Office or in AccessKC.
Kilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
All full-time positions are located in Kilgore, TX. No fully work from home positions are available at this time. All employees must be available to physically present to work on the Kilgore, TX or Longview, TX Campus. Some Part-Time and Adjunct positions may be offsite but the candidate MUST live in the State of Texas.

Positions will remain open until filled. Some Adjunct and Part-Time teaching positions may remain open perpetually as the need for part time instructors fluctuates with student enrollment. Teaching positions will be required to submit official transcripts upon an offer of employment. An offer of employment will be contingent upon passing a background check. Federal law prohibits the employment of unauthorized aliens. All persons hired must submit satisfactory proof of employment authorization and identity within three (3) days of being hired. Failure to submit proof within the required time shall result in immediate employment termination. All position appointments are subject to approval by the college's Board of Trustees.
